For Women Answering The Call of Midlife

About You

Have you noticed that the questions you're asking yourself have changed?

Perhaps ten or twenty years ago they were about travelling the world, building a career, finding a partner, raising children, paying the mortgage, getting through the week.

Now they sound different. Maybe they're more like...

Is this really how I want to spend the next twenty years?

When did I stop doing things just because I enjoy them?

Who am I when I'm not putting other people first?

Or perhaps you can't even articulate the question yet, but you know for sure it's there.

Most of the women I work with haven't fallen apart. In fact, it's quite the opposite.

They've built good lives, they've adapted, they've been highly capable, and they've coped with some really tough life stuff. Often, they've been the ones people rely on.

But somewhere along the way they've realised that being capable isn't quite the same thing as feeling fully alive.

Many have already spent years exploring themselves through therapy, coaching, personal development, or spiritual practice.

What they're looking for now isn't more information, or even the "transformation" that everyone is trying to sell them. It's time for a different kind of conversation. One that is about rediscovering and reclaiming the parts of themselves they've buried, misplaced, or simply not had time to listen to because LIFE!

This is where myth has so much to offer. The old stories understand something about being human that we've never really outgrown. They remind us that there are times in life when the old ways of being no longer fit, even though we haven't quite discovered the new ones yet.

For most of history, women didn't make these crossings alone. They had stories, rituals, and other women.

That's what I hope to offer you:

A place to stop the headless chicken mode. A place to really slow down and take stock with stories that help us make sense of our own, with great company while you discover what comes next.

Wolf Club - 13 Month Online Circle.

This circle is a place to gather (online) with other women and read Women Who Run With the Wolves together.

It is NOT your regular "book club book chat" because these stories have a way of getting under your skin.

We'll read roughly one chapter each month, giving you plenty of time to live with the myths rather than rushing on to the next one.

When we meet, we won't be analysing literature or trying to work out the "right" meaning of a story.

Instead, we'll wonder:

What stayed with you? What part of your own life is this story shining a light on?

Did a particular character, image, or line keep following you around?

How did your body respond? How does this story help you understand your own situation?

Sometimes we'll talk, sometimes we'll listen.

Sometimes someone else's reflection will unlock something in us that we'd never have discovered on our own.

The myths become a meeting place, the fire we gather around - a way of exploring the questions, patterns, and thresholds we're each encountering in our own lives.

It's a gentle, thoughtful space, without constant notifications or pressure to keep up.

You don't need to have all the answers, or even finish the chapter every month. I offer journal prompts and also guided journalling sessions, which are particularly helpful if you find the book heavy-going.

You just need a little curiosity and a willingness to see what the stories might have to say to you.

These stories have been waiting for women for a very long time, and they were not meant to be read alone.

Investment: £20 per month

Bespoke Threshold Sessions 1:1

There is something very special about exploring these stories alongside other women.

Time and again, I'm reminded of how often one woman's words unlock something in someone else.

And yet, sometimes a different kind of space is needed.

Perhaps joining a group isn't possible with the season of life you're in. Perhaps there's something you're carrying that you'd rather explore in private. Or perhaps you simply know you'd like someone to walk alongside you, one step at a time.

That's where Threshold Sessions come in.

Rather than following a set programme, we'll shape the journey around you. Together we'll choose the stories that feel most alive, decide on a rhythm that fits your life, and give each myth the time it needs to do its work.

My work is integrative by nature. Myth and story sit at the heart of it, but over many years I've trained in a range of therapeutic and coaching approaches. While this isn't traditional therapy or coaching, those skills are part of what I bring. If a particular way of working would help deepen or support your journey, I'll draw on it thoughtfully and always in service of you, rather than following a fixed method.

And when the journey feels complete, we'll take time to honour that too. Thresholds matter. They deserve to be crossed with care, and they deserve to be marked.

A Threshold Journey includes:

  • Seven 75-minute sessions (online)

  • Guided audio reflections between sessions

  • Personalised journalling invitations

  • Selected suggested readings from Women Who Run With the Wolves

  • A flexible, responsive therapeutic approach that can incorporate other modalities, if required.

  • Investment: £795

Why Choose Me As Your Guide?

People sometimes ask me why I'm so obsessed with this stage of a woman's life.

One reason is that I've lived it.

Ten years ago I stopped drinking and had to work out who I was without the numbing. Perimenopause pulled the rug from under me. Covid killed my confidence completely. More recently, my daughter left for university, and all the wonderful plans I had for the supposed upcoming 'space' crashed and burned. I found myself asking the kind of existential questions I'd last asked myself when I was a teenager (really, wtf?!) and what it meant now that my "mum" role was changing so significantly.

Those experiences might not be the same as yours, but they taught me what it feels like when life asks you to let go of one version of yourself before the next one is still fully hidden from view.

I've also spent more than twenty years training in ways to understand and support people. Cognitive hypnotherapy, EMDR, Compassionate Inquiry, Coaching, and more. I don't see myself as fitting neatly into any one of those boxes now, but I'm deeply grateful for what they've taught me. They allow me to meet each woman differently, drawing on what feels most helpful rather than following a formula.

What matters most to me, though, is something much older than any training.

I don't think women were ever meant to navigate life's big transitions on their own.

For most of human history, there would have been stories, rituals, and other women to help us make sense of what was happening. Somewhere along the way, we've lost much of that.

Perhaps this is our chance to remember.

Not just for ourselves, but for our daughters, our nieces, and the women who'll come after us.

Because when one woman crosses a threshold with courage, honesty, and good company, she changes what feels possible for the women watching.

Jenny

"I came in feeling like I was on a hamster wheel, so busy I couldn't grasp hold of the real me inside. Over this year I've found a bit more of a voice to say, I don't think I'm okay with that."

Celene

"I came into this feeling like I was skating along the surface — not bad, but not good, somewhere in this apathetic space. I've got my skin back. I just feel more like me again, gradually over the course of this."

"My mum died four months into this process. This group has been so beneficial I can't even say. I feel like I've been held in a way that felt very different to anything I've done before"
